Papyrus leads a consortium contracted by the MasterCardFoundation to implement its Capacity Development Framework and Shared ServicesFacility.
Papyrus has partnered with the MasterCard Foundation to work closely with their leadership in developing a capacity accompaniment framework and services facility, aligned with the Foundation's processes for programming for impact. Papyrus is leading a consortium that is focused on strengthening local partner administrative and organizational management systems such that they can enhance their operations and achieve transformational change at scale through programming that is designed, executed, monitored, and adapted to suit the needs of target communities in Africa.
This assignment entails working with an initial group of 140+ organizations currently implementing the Foundation’s programs in 10 countries across Africa that have been invited to engage in a combination of in-person and virtual capacity strengthening services with our teams to both meet immediate needs. and gather evidence to support a proposed framework.
Papyrus also consults broadly with stakeholders and Mastercard Foundation partners as well as other foundations, agencies, and donors and developed a framework for capacity accompaniment now in use. Papyrus provides technical assistance to the Foundation and shares learnings that underscore the importance of tailored support, trust-building, and adaptive approaches in capacity development. By implementing these recommendations, the Mastercard Foundation is building on its ongoing work to enhance its partners' capacities and, ultimately, drive more sustainable impact across Africa.
